Front Porch Music Presents Stevie Coyle and Friends at Town Hall
Front Porch Music, a Lafayette-based nonprofit, will feature Stevie Coyle in its lineup of amazing local musical talent on April 4th show as part of its quarterly folk music series, Front Porch Music Presents, in partnership with Town Hall Theatre Co. This one-night only local music revue will showcase the exceptional talents of local acoustic musicians to support the missions of both nonprofits in fostering community music and the performing arts.
Now in its third year, the second show in the 2025 series will take place on Friday, April 4th, at 7:00 pm, featuring lobby entertainment by local favorite Joanne Cosmos Finn for a lobby party for ticket holders at 6 pm before the main event.
Several local acts will wow audience members:
Stevie Coyle, fingerstyle guitarist, and storyteller extraordinaire, brings a lifetime of musical adventures to the stage. Best known as part of the guitar duo The Quitters and a founding member of the legendary string band The Waybacks, Stevie’s musical roots run deep — from early lessons with David Lindley to a childhood filled with radio station promo records brought home by his DJ dad. His career has spanned vaudeville-inspired family lore, folk mass performances, and years on the road with The Royal Lichtenstein Circus. Stevie’s sharp wit and masterful playing have landed him everywhere from Cheers to The Young and the Restless, and onstage at major festivals like MerleFest, Grey Fox, and Hardly Strictly Bluegrass. When he’s not performing, Stevie curates fine instruments at his shop, Mighty Fine Guitars, in Lafayette, CA. With humor, heart, and dazzling technique, Stevie Coyle delivers an unforgettable show.
Oakland-based trio, Dimond Dogs blends distinctive originals with uniquely reimagined versions of rock, Americana, and country classics that breathe fresh insights into the songs. Mad Dog, Joe DiMilia, and Jacob Hart are looking forward to their Front Porch Presents debut.
The Pat Martin Trio was formed in September of 2024. Pat has performed throughout California and extensively in Stockton. Elaina Martin brings her violin talent as a member of a local symphony and a big band. John Jordan is amazing on bass. Playing a mixture of original and cover material, the Trio aims to engage and captivate audiences.
Mike Miller has been singing since the early 60’s once he heard his first musical influence: The Beatles. He learned to play guitar and started writing songs in the 90’s and has amassed hours of original songs that he performs for local audiences. He says he’s eternally grateful for all the music he’s ever listened to, and for all the musicians he has befriended along the way.
Joniche is a Joni Mitchell tribute trio that will bring a warm and wonderful touch to the evening with the beautiful voice of Lana Tillis with guitarist Scott Thompson and pianist Woody Woodruff!
“We’re thrilled to have local legend, Stevie Coyle, join our wonderful rundown of musicians for a really exciting lineup of local talent,” says Andree Hurst, Executive Director of Front Porch Music. “This event is a true celebration of the vibrant music and arts community here in Lamorinda.”
