Come on down to Luigi's Sound Garden this weekend! I'll be hosting my second jamboree featuring a variety of music with some of my musical friends. I'll perform solo some of my favorites, including Hawaiian slack key with my hula friends Regina and Nani. I'll be playing bass with my friends Andree and Austin Hurst in the Blue River Band, performing Americana roots and country. Finally I'll be back on guitar with Kathleen and Steve Andrews and Ron Logan in Redwood Grove playing bluegrass, Americana, roots music. There'll be a whole of everything for everyone!. Brother John is a multi-instrumentalist/singer/sometimes songwriter whose eclectic style, arranging and voice make for an interesting, captivating and soulful listening experience. He draws long and hard on the roots of modern acoustic music playing songs and styles from old English folk and sea chanties, early 20th century cowboy songs, bluegrass, blues, folk and Americana, old country, Hawaiian slack key and lap steel, and singer/songwriter material from the 60s-90s. John often arranges songs using different instruments and tunings than their original recording, creating a unique and exciting listening experience.
