Laura Zucker is an award-winning singer/songwriter with six CDs of original music to her name. In addition to performing, she teaches songwriting, piano, and guitar, offers performance coaching, and leads songwriting workshops that guide participants in connecting with their authentic voices. She is the author of "SongC.R.A.F.T- Writing Songs in Your Authentic Voice" and owns Milestone Music, a service dedicated to creating custom songs for special occasions. Laura's performances are infused with warmth and a deep connection to her audience.
Neal Cassidy and Eileen Raphael met while trying to overthrow capitalism and build a classless society. When that project floundered, they chose a gentler path and began to harmonize. They are known, to a select few, for their discriminating song selection, innovative arrangements, and vocal interplay. With no CDs, no paying gigs, and no social media, Neal and Eileen remain proudly undiscovered by the masses—until now!
Joanne Cosmos Finn and Joanne Weil Heald, affectionately known as "Joanne and Joanne," bring a rich blend of folk, blues, and light rock to their performances. Joanne Weil Heald, has been a vocalist and rhythm guitarist for over 40 years, crafting a sound that invites listeners to relax and feel good. Her music is a balance of firm yet gentle rhythms and melodies, creating a soulful experience. Joanne Cosmos Finn, a singer-songwriter who has been playing guitar since she was 12, founded the band Cosmic Butterfly of the Verse and runs a music series in Martinez. Together, they create a harmonious and inviting musical atmosphere.
The Threetles, consisting of Carole Zingeser, John Rafferty, and Sparky Grinstead, bring a unique blend of influences including British Invasion, classical, jazz standards, country and folk.. Carole's musical journey began with a love for the Beatles and jazz, leading her to various jazz combos in the San Francisco music scene. John Rafferty, a seasoned singer and blues harmonica player, adds a rootsy, cultural richness to their sound. Songwriter/Guitarist Sparky Grinstead provides the words, music and arrangements. Together, they deliver a performance steeped in nostalgia, emotion , and humor.
Janel Wagner and Margaret Meckes bring a fusion of Motown, spirituals, and classical influences to their performances. Janel, a competitive fingerstyle guitarist, recently returned to the Bay Area after a 25-year hiatus producing for other artists in Los Angeles. She is currently redefining her sound and forging connections within the local music community. Margaret Meckes, who recently captivated audiences at the 2024 Lamorinda Idol Finals and won the Audience Award, adds her outstanding talent and ability to connect deeply with listeners. Together, they create a powerful and soulful musical experience.
Don Dixon is a multi-talented artist with a passion for travel, hockey, martial arts, and, of course, music. His insatiable curiosity and expansive spirit have shaped his evolution as a guitar slinger and performer. Don is a veteran professional photographer and has shot more than 80 shows for SFJazz since arriving in the Bay Area from Canada seven years ago. Don will be joined by Paul Robles, Terry Garyhart, and Bob Furtado, promising a dynamic and engaging performance that reflects their collective energy and musical prowess.
