GIFT GUITARS

Front Porch Music’s Gift Guitar program is a heartwarming initiative that connects the joy of music with those in need. By donating gently used or new guitars, the program provides aspiring musicians with instruments they might not otherwise afford, fostering creativity and self-expression. Each gifted guitar symbolizes a chance to inspire and empower individuals to explore their musical potential, building community and confidence through the transformative power of music.

Front Porch Music is honored to partner with Youth Homes to expand the reach of our Gift Guitar program, providing the gift of music to underserved youth with complex mental health and behavioral challenges. Since 1965, Youth Homes has supported over 150 youth and their families annually with trauma-informed services that address basic needs, foster safe environments, and offer therapeutic support. Many of these young people have experienced significant trauma, and Youth Homes’ skilled team of clinicians and counselors work to empower them by role-modeling positive behaviors and helping them build coping skills. Through our collaboration, we are able to provide guitars to these resilient young individuals, giving them a creative outlet and a means of self-expression to help build optimism, confidence, and a brighter future.

We also partner with Lamorinda Music in Lafayette, which provides us with donated guitars, and assistance in assessing instruments and their suitability for re-homing.
