Bernie Lenhoff was classically trained on guitar as a child but found more in common with the singer/songwriters of the 60s & 70s. Inspired by the improvisation of the Grateful Dead, he taught himself electric bass and lead guitar. While studying theater in college, Bernie continued exploring music, including West Javanese Gamelan. Love of movement, percussion, and improv led him to become an expert tap dancer, performing in the movie "Tap" with Gregory Hines.
